TheraPrac is a subscription electronic health record (EHR) and practice management platform built for therapy practices. Practices pay a recurring subscription for scheduling, clinical documentation, telehealth, billing, and client payments, with optional add-ons including insurance billing and e-prescribing. TheraPrac is software infrastructure for practices — we don't provide therapy services ourselves, and we don't accept payment from any pharmacy, pharmacy benefit manager, or pharmaceutical manufacturer for any part of how the software works.
TheraPrac integrates electronic prescribing, including EPCS (electronic prescribing of controlled substances), so a licensed prescriber on a therapy practice's team can send a prescription electronically from within the same record they already use for that client's care — instead of a separate paper pad or a disconnected e-prescribing tool. The prescriber enters the medication, reviews interaction and allergy information, and transmits the prescription to the pharmacy the patient has selected.
No. TheraPrac has no ownership interest in, and receives no payment from, any pharmacy, pharmacy chain, mail-order pharmacy, pharmacy benefit manager, or pharmaceutical manufacturer. Our revenue comes entirely from practice subscription fees. Nothing about how prescriptions are entered, routed, or filled in TheraPrac is influenced by any pharmacy or manufacturer relationship, because no such relationship exists.
The prescriber alone chooses the drug, and the patient alone chooses the pharmacy. TheraPrac's software never defaults to, restricts, recommends, or otherwise steers either choice. The prescriber's clinical judgment determines what is prescribed; the patient tells their prescriber or practice which pharmacy they want their prescription sent to. TheraPrac does not select, favor, or limit pharmacies in the e-prescribing workflow.
